What this page covers

This page follows one transaction from onboarding to renewal, in the order it happens. Onboarding, quoting, deal registration, converting a quote into a subscription, adding to that subscription, and renewing it.

About four minutes to read. It is written to be read in order, but each step stands on its own if you are here to check one thing.

Onboarding, and your first quote

An IT reseller onboards in minutes. There is no implementation project and no scheduled call before you can use it, so the first quote happens inside the same few minutes as the account.

On the vendor side

A vendor onboards in under 24 hours. Pricing is supplied by file upload, drag and drop, or API, in the formats the vendor already produces. Currency conversion, price validation and ongoing price updates are handled on the platform.

Pricing accuracy

Each vendor’s pricing and volume model is built individually to match how that vendor already works, so the price you are quoted follows the vendor’s own structure.

What you can quote

Only vendors on the platform. We are signing vendors one at a time, and we will tell you exactly which ones are on the platform rather than implying more.

Generating a quote

A quote is generated in under 5 seconds. For the rest of this page, follow one: a single line at a vendor base cost of $1,000.00.

The three numbers

When you generate a quote, the platform shows you three figures.

The first is the vendor’s base cost, the price the vendor has set for your account under their own pricing model. The second is the Lucent1 fee, a flat 1% of that cost. The third is your total, which is those two figures added together.

All three appear before you commit to the transaction. Nothing is added afterwards, and there are no rebates or adjustments applied later that would change what you were quoted.

The quote from step 02. Figures are illustrative, not a live price.
Vendor base cost $1,000.00
Lucent1 1% $10.00
Your total $1,010.00
Why the first number matters
It is the vendor’s own price for your account. Seeing it is how you know what the 1% is a percentage of, and how you can check that the margin the vendor designed is the margin you received.
The platform subscription
Separate from the 1%, and charged to IT resellers and vendors alike. It is not a transaction cost, so it does not appear on a quote. We will tell you what it is before you commit.

Deal registration

If the $1,000.00 deal from step 02 needs registering, the registration is submitted directly to the vendor by API, under the IT reseller’s name, into the vendor’s own approval queue.

Approval is the vendor’s decision and happens on the vendor’s own terms. Lucent1 does not sell direct to end customers, so the registration stays between the IT reseller and the vendor.

Where a vendor operates a rule the platform cannot accommodate, we will tell you before you transact rather than after.

From quote to subscription

Take the 36 month term. The quote from step 02 converts straight into a live subscription at the same $1,000.00 base cost. It does not need re-entering anywhere, and the figures do not change on the way.

Terms

Monthly, 12, 36 or 60 months. The term is set when the quote converts.

What you can see

Every subscription, term, licence count and renewal date in one place, across every vendor on the platform.

On the vendor side

Committed revenue becomes visible rather than inferred, with real-time IT reseller performance and product movement.

Additions and co-terming

Say the customer needs ten more licences in month 14 of a 36 month term. They are added to the existing subscription rather than raised as a new deal.

Licences

Added to a live subscription directly, at the moment the customer asks rather than at the next renewal.

Products

A different product from the same vendor can be added to an existing customer inside the same subscription.

Co-terming

The addition is co-termed to the subscription’s existing end date, so the customer renews on one date rather than across a scattered calendar.

The rate

The addition is priced at the same flat 1% as the original term, so the figures below are the whole of it.

The same subscription after the month 14 addition. Figures are illustrative, not a live price.
Original term, from step 03 $1,000.00
Added, month 14, co-termed $400.00
Vendor base cost $1,400.00
Lucent1 1% $14.00
Your total $1,414.00

Renewals

The subscription is tracked to its end date. An alert is raised 90 days out, then again at 60, 30 and 7. Each one names the subscription, its end date and the current licence count.

The renewal itself

Because additions were co-termed, one date arrives rather than several, and the renewal is one decision instead of a sequence of them.

On the vendor side

Renewal pipeline forecasting, with churn risk identified 60 to 90 days ahead, and product performance data to inform portfolio decisions.

What runs it

Every step above runs as software rather than as staffed process. That is what AI-native means here, and it is the reason a flat 1% is possible.

At launch

15 AI agents. 12 automated workflow agents and 3 conversational assistants.

What they run

Quoting, deal registration, co-terming, renewals, invoicing, onboarding, churn detection and support, across both sides of the platform.

The distinction

They run the process rather than assisting a person who runs it. A quote is generated by the platform, not requested from it.

Where to start

That is the transaction end to end. $1,000.00 base cost, $10.00 to Lucent1, $1,010.00 total, plus ten licences added in month 14 at the same rate, co-termed, renewed on one date.
